  • This website is about the Florida lifestyle from traveling and real estate to creating modern home interiors.
  • This particular blog post was doing really well on its own, receiving over 1,000 clicks per month from Google. So we repurposed it into a Google Web Story, and the results were massive!
  • The Web Story was featured on Google Discover and had 18,658 clicks over the length of 4 weeks. From there, hundreds of readers visited the main blog.

First of all, Web Stories are currently only available on WordPress (at least, if you’re using the Stories plugin that Google provides). In 2021, I’ve seen a variety of results for food blogs, DIY blogs, gardening blogs, and home decor blogs. The best performing stories are the ones that show a step by step tutorial or a listicle that inspires consumers who are searching for ideas.

As with many SEO or social media strategy services, results can vary based on a wide variety of factors. I’ve seen some stories go viral within days after being published, while another story went viral for one day well over a month after it was published. I do recommend that you have a concrete element on your website that will bring people back for more (like a follow button for your Instagram account or a pop-up that gets new subscribers on your email list).
