November Pinterest Trends 2026: What to Pin in November
The holiday season is ramping up, and Pinterest is where people go to plan it. If you want your content in front of pinners while they’re still deciding what to cook, wear, buy, and decorate, November is the month to show up. This post walks through the top November Pinterest trends for 2026, pulled straight from the Pinterest Trends tool, plus how I’d use them in your content plan.
Quick note on where this data comes from: everything below is based on Pinterest’s own Trends tool for the United States, which shows last year’s top searches for the month, the seasonal keywords that spike in November, and Pinterest’s forecast for the Thanksgiving “moment” this year. I pull it fresh every time I update this post, so the keywords you see here reflect what pinners are actually searching for, not a generic list.
Why November Matters on Pinterest
Pinterest users plan early. According to Pinterest Trends, 86% of Americans plan to celebrate Thanksgiving, and search demand for it is projected to grow by 379% in the weeks leading up to the holiday, with the peak expected around November 28. Last year, Thanksgiving-related searches peaked in the week of November 29 to December 6, which tells you something important: the searching doesn’t stop on Thanksgiving Day. People are still looking for leftover recipes, Friendsgiving ideas, and what to do with the long weekend after the turkey is gone.
At the same time, Christmas searches are already climbing. “Christmas nails” and “christmas wallpaper” were two of the top ten searches on Pinterest in November last year, up 800% and 1,500% month over month. If you wait until December to publish your holiday content, you’ve already missed the front half of the demand curve.
So think of November as two overlapping seasons: Thanksgiving in the foreground, Christmas in the background, and a surprising amount of nail art holding it all together. That’s the shape of the November Pinterest trends every year, and the specific keywords below are where it gets useful.
Top November Pinterest Trends 2026
Here’s what pinners were searching for in November, grouped by category so you can jump to the one that fits your niche. Percentages are month-over-month changes from the Pinterest Trends tool unless noted otherwise.
Thanksgiving
This is the obvious one, but the specific searches are worth noting because they’re very practical. Pinners aren’t searching for “Thanksgiving inspiration.” They’re searching for exactly what they need to make, wear, and serve.
- thanksgiving outfit (up 1,000%)
- thanksgiving recipes (up 600%)
- thanksgiving desserts (up 1,000%)
- thanksgiving appetizers (up 900%)
- thanksgiving nails (up 600%)
- green bean casserole and sweet potato casserole (both up 2,500%)
- happy thanksgiving (up 10,000%+ month over month as the day gets close)
- friendsgiving and friendsgiving outfit ideas
Notice how “thanksgiving outfit” and “thanksgiving nails” sit right alongside the recipes. The holiday is a full-day event for a lot of pinners, and they’re planning every part of it. If you’re a fashion or beauty creator, Thanksgiving is just as much your holiday as it is a food blogger’s.
Food and Drink
November is the single biggest month of the year for comfort food searches on Pinterest. Casseroles dominate, but the seasonal list also shows a strong appetizer and party-food theme as people start planning gatherings.
- sweet potato recipes, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes recipe
- green bean recipes, green bean casserole, deviled eggs
- pumpkin recipes, pumpkin desserts, pumpkin bars, fall dessert recipes, fall cookies
- apple pie recipe, pecan bars, blueberry crumble
- cranberry recipes (up 1,000%), cranberry salad, cranberry cream cheese dip, jalapeño cranberry dip, sugared cranberries
- charcuterie board, cheese ball recipes, dried beef cheeseball, sausage balls
- crockpot recipes, soup recipes, dinner ideas, easy dinner recipes
The cranberry trend is the one I’d pay attention to. Cranberry dips, cranberry salads, and sugared cranberries all spiked last November, and they bridge Thanksgiving and Christmas nicely, so a cranberry post can keep working for six weeks instead of one.
Beauty and Nails
Nail content is huge on Pinterest every month, but November is when it turns seasonal. Last year’s top monthly list included “fall nails,” “christmas nails,” “thanksgiving nails,” “november nails,” and “fall nail designs,” and the seasonal list is almost entirely holiday nail variations.
- fall nails, classy fall nails, fall cat eye nails, fall nail art
- november nails (up 200%)
- christmas nails (up 800%), elegant christmas nails, simple holiday nails, simple holiday nails short
- holiday nails (up 1,000%), holiday nail colors, december nail colors
- red and green christmas nails, white christmas nails, green holiday nails, black christmas nails
- christmas nails french tip, holiday french tip nails, candy cane nail designs, gingerbread nails, poinsettia nails
- christmas pedicure ideas
Beyond nails, “hairstyles,” “curly hairstyles,” and “winter hair braid” all made the top 50, and “winter hair braid” is up more than 10,000% year over year, which suggests it’s a newly popular search rather than a seasonal repeat.
Fashion
Fashion searches in November are about transition. Fall outfits are declining (down 50% month over month) while winter outfits are rising (up 100%), and the occasion-based searches are what’s growing fastest.
- thanksgiving outfit, friendsgiving outfit ideas
- winter outfits, winter fashion inspo
- outfit ideas, fashion, shoes, wedding dresses
- Pinterest’s shopping trends heading into November show outbound clicks rising on boots (up 54%), slippers (up 47%), coats and jackets (up 44%), and outerwear (up 43%)
If you sell or recommend products, the shopping trend data is worth more than the search data. Boots, coats, and slippers are what people are actually clicking through to buy right now.
Home and Holiday Decor
Decor searches shift from fall to Christmas during November, and the seasonal list shows pinners are looking for very specific, very doable ideas.
- elf on the shelf ideas (up 600%), easy elf ideas, welcome back elf on the shelf ideas
- gingerbread disguise project and disguise a gingerbread man (school project season, up 9,000% and 3,500%)
- fun natural table settings (up 200%)
- december chalkboard ideas
- fall crafts for kids, fall crafts for toddlers, fall craft, fall doodles
- Pinterest’s shopping trends show seasonal and holiday decorations up 78% and fireplace and wood stove accessories up 55% in outbound clicks
The elf on the shelf searches start in November, not December. Parents are planning the first week of ideas before the elf arrives, so a roundup published in early November will catch the whole season.
Wallpapers and Aesthetic
Phone wallpapers are a reliable Pinterest category year-round, and in November they flip to Christmas fast. “Christmas wallpaper” was up 1,500% month over month, and “wallpaper,” “wallpaper backgrounds,” and “aesthetic” all stayed in the top 50. If you make simple graphics, seasonal wallpaper sets are one of the easiest pieces of content to produce and pin.
Planning, Weddings, and Life Admin
A few of the fastest-growing searches last November weren’t seasonal at all. “Date planning inspo,” “future wedding plans,” and “watch party ideas” each grew more than 10,000% year over year, and “vision board” starts climbing in late November ahead of the new year. These look like new search habits rather than holiday spikes, and they’re worth testing if you create planning, relationship, or lifestyle content.
How to Use These Trends in Your Content
A list of November Pinterest trends is only useful if you do something with it. Here’s the process I use for my own pins and for clients.
First, pick the three to five keywords that fit what you already have. Don’t create a cranberry dip recipe because it’s trending if you’ve never posted a recipe. Look at the list, find the overlap with your existing content, and start there. An existing post with a fresh pin and an updated title will outperform a rushed new post almost every time.
Second, put the exact keyword in the pin title and the first sentence of the description. Pinterest search is still fairly literal. “Thanksgiving appetizers” should appear as written, not reworded into “appetizers for your Thanksgiving gathering.”
Third, publish early. For Thanksgiving content, that means the first week of November at the latest. For Christmas content, start now. Pinterest’s own forecast says Christmas search demand will grow by 856% between now and the peak around December 19, so pins published in November have time to get indexed and saved before the rush.
Fourth, make more than one pin per post. Different headlines, different images, same link. The five pins I made for a single blog post last month each pulled from a different angle, and that’s the approach I’d take for every seasonal post you publish this month.
If you want help writing those pin titles and descriptions faster, I shared the exact prompts I use in my post on Claude prompts for business, including one specifically for Pinterest pin copy.
Pinterest Monthly Trends
I update these November Pinterest trends and the rest of the monthly trend posts every year with fresh data from the Pinterest Trends tool. Next up is December Pinterest trends, which covers Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year’s Eve, and the early January planning surge.
